School resolutions are documents passed by student councils, PTSAs, or even school boards to express the board’s position on an issue. Specifically, we’re looking to grow support of HR 2307, and school resolutions can help by making community leaders aware of the policy and by showing our Representatives in Congress that their student constituents support this bill.
Our series of workshops this summer will be led by high school students who have passed climate resolutions in both public and private schools, and we will be able to help you through every step of the process from writing the resolution text to building support among the members of your target body to formally presenting the resolution to them. By preparing a draft resolution appropriate to your school or district this summer, you will be all set to begin the outreach steps as soon as the school year starts.
The workshop will be three [ 2.5  hour]-long sessions sometime this summer.
